R.B. TONE syrup contains ferrous gluconate which is source of Iron. It contains ferrous salt which is better absorbed and better tolerated as compared to ferric salts. Each 10 ml of R.B. tone syrup provides complete formula for treatment of anaemia providing 30 mg of elemental iron. It also contains Folic acid and Vitamin B12 which are essential for formation of Red Blood Cells. Calcium in R.B. Tone is required for proper growth and development of bones. R.B. TONE is useful for treatment of iron deficiency anaemia of varied origin and provides faster correction of iron deficiency.

R.B.Tone Drops is available in a bottle of 15 ml with a built in dropper.

Oral iron therapy is associated with poor absorption, poor compliance, GI side effects and time consuming. R.B.TONE injection contains iron-sucrose complex providing 20 mg of elemental iron. Administration of Iron sucrose replenishes tissue iron stores, reverses iron depletion and iron-deficient erythropoiesis, and corrects or prevents iron deficiency anemia. Hence it is very valuable in severe anaemic conditions and ensures faster rise in haemoglobin compared to oral iron therapy.

Intolerance to oral iron.
Severe anemia.
Mild and severe anemia detected near term demanding quicker restoration of hemoglobin and faster replenishment of iron stores.
Patients with low iron reserve and high risk of peri-partum hemorrhage e.g. multiple pregnancies.
Refusal of blood transfusion.

Each ml contains Ferric Hydroxide in complex with sucrose equivalent to 20 mg elemental Iron. 2.5 ml
ampoule contains 50 mg elemental iron and 5 ml contains 100 mg elemental iron.

Inject 50 mg (2.5 ml ampoule) over 2 minutes, wait for 2-5 minutes, and then inject another 50 mg IV over 2 minutes.

100 mg (5 ml ampoule) to be diluted in a maximum of 100 ml of normal saline immediately prior to infusion and is to be infused over a period of at least 15 min.

200 mg per dose infused intravenously over 1 hour, may be administered thrice weekly.

R.B.Tone Injection is available as 2.5 ml and 5 ml ampoules.

It contains iron in colloidal form that undergoes ready conversion to soluble form assuring its greatest and better absorption with minimal gastric irritation.
