Functional GI disorders are defined as Chronic abdominal symptoms without any structural abnormality. Common functional GI disorders are Functional Dyspepsia (FD), Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS), and Gastro-Oesophageal Reflux Disease (GERD). Minimal adverse effects are reported which includes galactorrhea, drowsiness, fatigue, hyperprolactinaemia and Headache.
Overall incidence of side effects reported in various clinical trials with levosulpiride is lower as compared to domperidone.
