IBS is a GI disorder associated with symptoms like Constipation, Diarrhoea, or alternating constipation with diarrhoea, abdominal pain, bloating and flatulence. In Evaq P, the bulking agent Ispaghula relieves both constipation as well as diarrhea. Thus Ispaghula is useful in the management of all types of IBS, like IBS associated with constipation, diarrhea or mixed type. Abdominal discomfort, bloating and flatulence which are the common symptoms associated with IBS that occurs due to excessive fermentation by overgrown pathogenic bacteria. Probiotics in Evaq P limits the growth of pathogenic bacteria by direct competition & prebiotics promotes the growth of beneficial bacteria. Thus the combination of Probiotic, Prebiotic and Ispaghula is an excellent formulation for symptomatic management of IBS.

Benzoic Acid I.P. - 0.0225 gm

Constipation
Adult: 15 to 30 ml per day.
Paediatric: (2 to 6 years) - 10 ml per day.
For children above age of 6 years - 10 to 15 ml per day.
For infants or breast fed babies – 5 ml per day.

• For the prevention 30 ml once daily in the evening.
• For the treatment of acute phases of hepatic encephalopathy is 45 to 90 ml divided into 3 doses along with the main meals.

Abdominal distension or cramp and flatulence. Occasionally diarrhea & anal pruritus.

Appendicitis, Patients with intestinal obstruction, where an underlying organic lesion of the gastrointestinal tract is suspected, or in cases of unexplained abdominal pain or bleeding. Hypersensitivity to the drug or any other component of the formulation.
