Inflammation and pain are the integral part of surgical/ non surgical trauma and many diseases. Lornoxicam is a non steroidal anti-inflammatory drug with analgesic properties and belongs to the class of oxicams.

Lornoxicam inhibits the prostaglandin synthesis by inhibiting COX-1/COX-2 system. It also inhibits the production of pro-inflammatory cytokines TNF-alpha, IL-1beta, IL-6, and IL-8 and the inducible NO synthase. It is safe for longer duration and has less side effects.

It has also shown renal and cardiac safety. Paracetamol is well established analgesic & antipyretic agent with faster onset of action. It causes selective inhibition of COX – 3 in the brain & spinal cord and inhibits prostaglandin synthesis.

The combination of Lornoxicam and paracetamol gives complete relief from pain and associated inflammation by two different mechanisms and ensures quick onset of action & longer duration of action.

Thus the combination of Lornoxicam with Paracetamol is synergistic, safe and well tolerated.

Lornoxicam is safe and well tolerated. Rarely it is associated with side effects like dyspepsia, abdominal pain, nausea.

Hypersensitivity to Lornoxicam or any of the excipients.
Severe heart failure.
Gastro-intestinal bleeding, cerebrovascular bleeding or other bleeding disorders.
